Stories behind Milo&Me: Cadence
GETTING TO KNOW US!
Hello! My name is Cadence. A lot of people call me Cay, and I am one of the many girls who are a part of this amazing group! I am super grateful for Sophia and all of the beautiful Milo&Me girls. I started having seizures in March 2019, when I was 14. I am now 18 and still on my journey to becoming seizure-free.
A little bit about me, I’m from Atlantic Canada. I just graduated high school and will attend college this September to pursue a career in social work. I LOVE cats. They’re my absolute favorite. I have three cats (but I would love to have more). Stevie and Winnie are my female cats, and Danny is my male.
I am currently prescribed two medications for my epilepsy, Keppra, and Lamotrigine, along with a few others for my mental health. Throughout these past few years, I’ve seen life in a whole new way. I’ve learned that anything can happen at any moment and not to take life for granted.
I am blessed to have become a part of this amazing group, and I am super excited for the opportunity to be able to be a part of this blog!
